Lozenets is easiest to reach via Burgas Airport, which is about an hour away by car. Sofia Airport is a viable alternative, typically via a short domestic flight to Burgas.

Most guests will arrive by air. Here is the simplest way to think about it.

Fly into Bulgaria
Most international guests will connect through a European hub. Seasonal direct routes to Burgas exist from several cities — check availability closer to your booking date.

Choose your arrival airport
Burgas is the closest airport and the most straightforward choice. Sofia works well if you prefer more flight options or plan to spend time in the capital first.

Get to Lozenets
From Burgas, a taxi or rental car will get you to the resort in around an hour. We may also be able to help coordinate shared transport — see the RSVP form for details.

Choosing your airport
Sofia Airport (SOF)
International hub~4–5 hours by car (longer in summer traffic)
Sofia has strong international connections and will be the main arrival point for many guests. The quickest onward option is a domestic flight to Burgas (under an hour). Driving is possible but can take 4–5 hours in summer traffic. We can help arrange transport to Lozenets — let us know your plans in the RSVP form.
Other options
Plovdiv Airport (PDV)
Car recommendedPlovdiv can work if you find a good low-cost route, but onward public transport to Lozenets is limited. A rental car is strongly recommended if you fly here.
Istanbul Airport (IST)
Via road + border4+ hours (border crossing required)
Istanbul has excellent international connections and can be a practical entry point, especially if you are travelling from outside Europe. From IST you will need a private transfer or rental car and must cross the Turkish–Bulgarian border at Malko Tarnovo. Border crossings can involve significant delays, particularly in summer — build in plenty of extra time and do not plan to arrive close to the ceremony.

We strongly recommend booking as early as you can. Late June is high season on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, and availability fills up quickly.

Best for: Guests who want to be right at the venue
Staying at Oasis Resort means you are on-site for the full weekend — no transfers, easy access to the beach and pool, and closest to the celebration. The Maltese Castle rooms are more expensive as they sit directly on the seafront. We recommend looking into the Oasis Standard rooms — just as nice, situated within the same resort, and better priced.
